How we got here
Tinder, curd rice, and a slow build to forever
Six years ago, Anirudh's friends had all moved abroad. His older brother Suhas told him — half-joking — to try Tinder. Worst case, he'd make a friend. Pari was on it too, in a similar in-between place.
He didn't swipe right because of her photos. He swiped right because of her bio: "curd rice over fine dining restaurants." That was the whole pitch.
What started as a friendship slowly became best friendship. About a year in, they both finally admitted they'd been in deeper than either had let on. Dating, sealed.
Manasa (Anirudh's sister-in-law) and Parag (Pari's dad) had quietly called it from very early on. Back then, the idea seemed impossible. Turns out they were just early.
People still ask: is Tinder really where you meet the one? In a place crowded with every kind of relationship except the one they were quietly looking for, finding each other has felt like it was luck. Or destiny.
